 E-DIGO


“A business that is essential to our everyday needs.” – E-DIGO

Every businessman is thinking about what kind of business will have good profit and will be a big hit for their target market. Every business depends on what their target market will be interested in, and what will give good profit for the long run.

A team of two was assigned to go to the E-DIGO Building located along Molino Road across RFC Building. E-DIGO is a three-part business. It offers waters station, salon and a fitness gym. The concept was said to be the idea of the owner itself for their target market in the community their building was located considered these as their basic human needs.

Water. E-DIGO services purified and alkaline water. As of the people in their community

needs water for their everyday lives, they offer clean, safe and purified alkaline water.

The team of two checked E-DIGO’s facility. It was quite small but is enough for the workers to move around. The team interviewed the owner and asked, “Why a water station? Of all the businesses you can think of, why this?” And she answered, and quoted, “Water is part of our daily lives. People cannot live without water and so we came up with the idea of having a water station business that will offer safe, clean, and purified drinking water.”

There may be a lot of water station businesses on the market place but E-DIGO promises an exemplary service for their customers.





They also offer a door-to-door water delivery.












Health and Fitness. A person needs to maintain good health and posture to work

properly. What can a person with poor health do? Health and fitness is important in our daily lives. Having good health and being physically fit gives a person an advantage in life.

The gym is equipped with tools that are usually seen in a typical gym. There are weights, treadmill, weighting scale just around the corner, drinking water, shelves that serve as a place where the customers can put their things, and other gym equipment.

There are gym instructors available at the gym with free rate. They offer per session service or monthly. Their rates are Php 40 per session with usage of all  equipment except treadmill because the treadmill has a different rate which is Php 30 per session maximum of 1 hour, their monthly rate is 350 pesos, treadmill (monthly) 350 as well, and 700 pesos per concept in a monthly basis.

Beauty. Women or men, appearance tends to have a big impact on their lives. It is probably one of the things that are on top of everyone’s list. People want to see things beautiful and people want to be seen beautiful. This salon is for both men and women. They offer hair care services, manicure, pedicure, foot spa, etc. And I can personally say that their price is really good. It is affordable and just.

As the team stroll inside the salon, they saw that it looks like a typical salon most people knew. Mirrors, chairs, trolley carts with hair blower, hair iron, combs clips, etc. on them, smiling faces of the attendees and crew, and costumers that are either watching the noon time show flashed on the television across the room or reading some magazines to kill time.

As the ENGL3 instructor gave the assigned task of the team and what will they work on for our project in his subject – ENGL3: Developmental Reading – they were thrilled because they personally haven’t heard of E-DIGO. And to their surprise, E-DIGO was just along Molino Road just across the RFC Building. And as the team went to the building, they experienced a small problem with the owner about the said task. They were hesitant to let them stroll in the place because of some privacy issues. But the team assured them that everything that will be written on this blog will be private.

As the issue was settled, the team conducted an interview to the owner. The questions and answers are as follows:
Question1: What is your advantage than other businesses in the market?
Answer: “Yun yung sinasabing everyday needs kaya yun yung ginawa naming business. Kumbaga, yun yung ginagamit everyday (water, health and fitness, and self-beautification).”
Question2: What/Who is your target market?
Answer: “Pangmasa kasi ‘to eh. Kahit na mayaman sya o mahirap, affordable ito. Hindi sya ganun kamahal, hindi rin sya ganun kamura. Presyong pangmasa.”
Question3: If there is one thing that you will improve for your business, what should it be?
Answer: “More flyers. More advertisement. Kasi para mamaintain yung everyday needs. All business naman is may mahina, may malakas. May seasonal – may matumal at malakas na araw. Even verbal advertisement.”

All in all, the experience was great. They toured the team in the building showing their business. As the writer of this blog, in a scale of 1 to 10, she rated E-DIGO as an 8. Their business is great. The concept is well-thought, well-planned and well-executed. They are managing it well, the attendees and staff are hospitable and they displayed a good and pleasing personality. The writer rated them an 8 because she thinks that there are some things that they need to improve. It goes with the saying that “There is always room for improvement.” What the owner said about improvement was right because with her personal experience, she never knew that there is a business center called E-DIGO if it were not given to her as their task. They should have more advertisement for their business to be known not just with the people on their community but also to the people outside their target market.
